The mass-loss, polarization tests, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic strategies were applied to assess the inhibition performance of environmentally friendly inhibitor Araucaria heterophylla leaves extract (AHLE) for soft-cast steel corrosion safety in 1 M HCl at 300 ± K. creates a protective coat on that decelerates process acidic environments. percentage effectiveness, current density, potential, cathodic anodic Tafel slopes are being assessed. outcomes chemical research almost similar. inhibitor's activity was well illustrated by AHLE adsorption follows Langmuir isotherm. According study, is mixed kind inhibitor. Experiments conducted with varying amounts temperatures. calculated Δ G ads o values range −33.75 −34.40 kJ/mol, which discloses inhibitory action exothermic spontaneous. Scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, contact angle techniques used determine association metal surface.
